April 13, 2008 Lucky 13 Beach Walk/Bike-a-Thon with teen actress Carly Schoeder as Honorary Youth Ambassador for St. Vincent Meals on Wheels was an amazing day at the Santa Monica Beach!

Our annual Beach Walk/Bike-a-Thon raised much needed funds for St. Vincent Meals on Wheels through donations from people who sponsored walkers and riders. This was a fun day for everyone who joined us on the Santa Monica bike path!

Versatile young actor Carly Schroeder www.carlybschroeder.com, well known for her role as Melina Bianco in both the hit Disney TV series Lizzie McGuire, as well in the film of the same name, and for starring roles in films such as Gracie, Firewall, Mean Creek and Eye of the Dolphin, is our Youth Ambassador for St. Vincent Meals. She visited schools to encourage registration for the event and increase awareness for our organization and our mission. She joined us that day to walk with the participants and signed many, many autographs!

We celebrated 30 years of dedication to L.A.'s hungry and homebound on July 7, 2007 under the stars at the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Kitchen - 2201 Miramar Street, Los Angeles 90057
