What Our Donors are saying

"Probably the highlight was seeing the kitchen and workers at St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. It motivates me and helps me understand what a dream and hard work can accomplish."

"Meals on Wheels kept my father at home for a year before he needed to go into a nursing home. He died three months after he went in. In my eyes, you have gave him an extra year of life. Thank you for what you did for him"

"I heard about you on NPR. I was so moved by your daily acts of kindness. Thank you for your working in the service of human dignity."

Delivering God's Love One Meal at a Time

Since 1977, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels has delivered life-saving meals and warm greetings to homebound and hungry seniors and disabled or seriously ill adults across Los Angeles. From Skid Row to West Hollywood, the Hollywood Hills to South L.A., we deliver to over 2,600 clients a day. We also help clients who are unable to live alone by referring them to medical care and social services.

St. Vincent Meals on Wheels serves anyone in need regardless of age, race, illness, disability, religion or ability to pay.

As the largest privately funded Meals on Wheels program in the country, we depend on the generosity of our angels—compassionate friends whose donations make our work possible—and our volunteers, who deliver nutritious meals to more than 2,600 clients a day.

Thanks to caring people like you, we have served over a million meals to clients this year alone!

Today the Need for Our Services Is Greater Than Ever
  • With meal programs closing down or cutting back due to lack of funding, more seniors and ill or disabled adults are turning to us for the food they need to survive.

  • Many of our clients, especially those over 85, are unable to shop or cook for themselves and have no friends or family to help.

  • Half of our clients live below the poverty level, which may force them to choose between food, shelter and medical care

At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, we believe that no one should have to choose between food, shelter or medical care. And no one should be left malnourished and alone. That's why we remain committed to serving all hungry and homebound neighbors in need.
