Our Events

As the largest privately funded Meals on Wheels program in the country, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels depends on donations from compassionate friends like you --not government funding-- to deliver nutritious meals to seniors and ill or disabled adults.

We host events throughout the year to raise money for our home meal-delivery program and to honor the organizations and individuals who support our work. Our diverse and fun events offer something for everyone!

		Angel Luncheon The Angel Luncheon was held on May 14, 2008 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. We had a sold-out luncheon that honored long-time supporters from corporate, philanthropic and volunteer communities: Bill and Barbara Barrett, Anne and Jim Murphy and Theresa and Ubaldo Lopez. The Angel Award Luncheon celebrates those who believe in building a better community by sharing their talents, energy and hearts to our organization. (Click here to see photos of this year’s event.). 		Lucky 13 Beach Bike/Walk-a-Thon – April 13, 2008 The annual Beach Walk/Bike-a-Thon raises money for St. Vincent Meals on Wheels through corporate sponsorship and individual donations from people who sponsor marathon walkers and riders. Our Lucky 13 Beach Walk/Bike-a-Thon takes place on the Santa Monica Beach bike path on April 13, 2008. Check-in required beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Walk/ride begins at 9:00 a.m. The 3.7 mile walk route and 10-mile bike route begins and ends at Ocean Park Boulevard. 		30th Anniversary We celebrated 30 years of dedication to L.A.'s hungry and homebound on July 7, 2007 under the stars at the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Kitchen - 2201 Miramar Street, Los Angeles 90057. To see photos from past events, please visit our Event Photos.

		American Wine & Food Festival-25th Anniversary This was a feast of one's taste buds! What an incredible evening of sights and sounds and unbelievable delicious wine and food -- all to benefit Meals on Wheels!
